Masanari AraiCO-FOUNDER & CEO
Masanari Arai is co-founder and CEO of Kii Corporation in Japan. Masanari has more than 18 years experience in the mobile software space in Silicon Valley. He joined Intellisync in 1995 as one of the original members of the company, holding positions as VP Product Marketing, VP Business Development, GM for Asia and President of Intellisync Japan. After Nokia acquired Intellisync, he served as the country manager for Nokia Japan Enterprise System. In 2008, he handled the MBO of Japan business from Nokia to start Synclore Corporation, which acquired Silicon Valley based Servo Software in 2010 to form Kii Corporation.
Prior to starting his career in Silicon Valley, Masanari was the product manager of the original IBM ThinkPad 700 Series. He holds a Master of Computer Science from Toyohashi University of Technology.
Masanari has led industry standardization organizations such as IrDA (Board of Directors) and OMA SyncML.
Phani PandrangiCHIEF PRODUCT OFFICER (CPO)
Phani Pandrangi is the Chief Product Officer at Kii, in charge of product vision, management and execution. Previously, Phani was Director of Product Management at Software AG where he was responsible for the webMethods Business Process Management product. Prior to that, he held product management and product development roles at BEA Systems, Plumtree Software, Datasweep and Savvion.
Phani holds an MBA from University of California at Berkeley, a Master’s in Computer Science from Oregon State University and Bachelor’s in Computer Science & Engineering from Osmania University.
Dominique TuCHIEF INNOVATION OFFICER (CIO) / KII CHINA - CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Dominique Tu is a seasoned executive in the mobile and software industries with over 15 years of leadership experience in Greater China and Asia Pacific. Before joining Kii, Tu was the founder of iAngel Corp, aimed at providing angel seed funding to early start-ups in Greater China. He has also served as Director, Business Development & Partner Alliance (Asia) of Nokia Corporation; Vice President of Sales (Asia) of Intellisync until it acquired by Nokia in 2006; He has also worked in start-up companies, including Realvision, Hong Kong (Mobile Hardware, funded by GSM Capital) and PrivyLink, Singapore (Internet Security, funded by TDF Capital) as Director of Sales, Asia. Before moving to the mobile & software industries, Tu was Senior Manager, Smart Card & E-Commerce of Standard Chartered Bank (Asia Pacific).
He graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and holds a Master’s degree in International Business from the Macquarie University, Australia. He is pursuing his PhD in Mobile Consumer Behavior at Chinese Academy of Science.
