From the community: An exciting October

October has been pretty exciting for us; we secured more funding, we attended AppsWorld Europe, we launched a new website, we kick-started our developer community and released several new features (wow, that’s a lot! smile)

We continue to evangelize the advantages of using a mobile back-end as a service to accelerate development time and we used AppsWorld Europe as the platform to demonstrate this in person.

AppsWorld Europe 2013
Developer Marketing Panel with Kii’s Phani Pandrangi

At AppsWorld we spoke with a very receptive audience from many different backgrounds (from independent game developers and small start-ups to big game development houses, popular software vendors and carriers) and countries. Even though the MBaaS technology is not yet ubiquitous (many developers still have never heard of MBaaS) we were reassured that the value proposition of MBaaS is compelling and that specialized services such as Kii Analytics can easily become a key technology for app developers to get critical insight about the users’ behavior to ultimately steer the app strategy.

We recently made live our developer community site http://community.kii.com  to provide you with a place where you can get peer-to-peer support, make new friends, learn new tips and tools and even receive rewards from us occasionally. We even localized the communities for China and Japan so you might want to visit those too.

The community sites add value to an existing comprehensive set of resources that you can leverage when building Kii Cloud based mobile applications:

We hope you find community.kii.com useful and make it yours. The platform is designed to give you more control and reputation as you get more involved so I wouldn’t be surprised to see you as a moderator or top contributor soon!

Stay tuned to our future “From the community” blog posts (we’ll keep you posted of what’s cooking on the Kii Developer Community).

Happy coding!
